We are Fellows!
Tandem project with the Institute of Engineering and Computational Mechanics within the bwDigiFellows II program funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts Baden-Württemberg and the Stifterverband.
Digitalization strategies for study programs in engineering are intended to address the downward trend in numbers of prospective students. This includes the introduction of a compulsory, comprehensive fundamentals in computer science into the bachelor's degree to promote understanding of digital principles and prepare for further lectures. However, a separate lecture cannot be offered for each course, while the required focal points and application examples differ too much to get optimal results with the same course for all students. The aim of the project is to use digital learning methods to test, evaluate and consolidate the course-specific internal diversification of fundamentals in computer science within one lecture as a best practice example. With the new idea of alternative micro-modules within one lecture, we want to strengthen learning autonomy and reach students in the best possible way.
