The University of Stuttgart recently hosted its fifth Research Day on June 7, 2023, where scientists from all ten faculties were recognized for their remarkable publications. The event featured the prestigious awarding of publication prizes for outstanding works published in 2021 and 2022, each endowed with a prize of 2,500 euros.
The recognized publications covered a diverse range of disciplines, including urban development, biomechanics, materials science, cancer research, and communications engineering. Bo Xiong and Prof. Dr. Steffen Staab from Analytic Computing were honored for their exceptional research that employed artificial intelligence to tackle graph problems. The awarded publication titled "Pseudo-Riemannian Graph Convolutional Networks," authored by Bo Xiong, Shichao Zhu, Nico Potyka, Shirui Pan, Chuan Zhou, and Steffen Staab, was a collaboration with former Analytic Computing team member Nico Potyka, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Griffith University Australia.
