Anastasiia Iurshina presented a paper at CIKM 2022

October 31, 2022

Anastasiia Iurshina, student of the Analytic Computing department of University of Stuttgart, has presented a paper in the International Conference on Information & Knowledge Management.

Anastasiia Lurshina wrote her paper, NILK: Entity Linking Dataset Targeting NIL-linking Cases, under the supervision of Profesor Steffen Staab, and with the collaboration of Jiaxin Pan, also from the Analytic Computing department, and Rafika Boutalbi, former researcher from the Analytic Computing department and currently working at Aix-Marseille Université. This paper is also part of the three Analytic Computing projects, namely OUTCITE, ServiceMeister, and OpAMin. Anastasiia presented their paper in the International Conference on Information & Knowledge Management, realized on October 17-21, in Atlanta, United States.

This paper presents NILK, a new dataset for benchmarking NIL-linking processing, constructed from Wikidata and Wikipedia dumps from two different timestamps. The NIL-linking task in Entity Linking deals with cases where the text mentions do not have a corresponding entity in the associated knowledge base.

The NILK dataset is available at: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6607514.
