2 Papers Accepted to Technical Programme of International Semantic Web Conference

31. August 2020 / Ramin Hedeshy

Analytic Computing has been successful twice with submissions to the premier Semantic Web conference.

The paper„Deciding SHACL Shape Containment through Description Logics Reasoning“ written by Martin Leinberger, Philipp Seifer, Tjitze Rienstra, Ralf Lämmel and Steffen Staab reports on results from the LISeQ project. The paper is part of a research effort to type graph data for use in general-purpose programming languages and, thus, to enhance the quality and safety of programs using graph data.

The paper „GeoSPARQL+: Syntax, Semantics and System for Integrated Querying of Graph, Raster and Vector Data“ by Timo Homburg, Steffen Staab and Daniel Janke facilitate the use of geographic information in the Semantic Web. We envision that it will substantially contribute to the evolution of the joint OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) and W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) standard „GeoSPARQL“.
